Larry Norman Larry Norman - Letter From The President

I got a letter today from the president
And it came all the way from Washington, Dc
At the top he put my name instead of resident
And signed it at the bottom personally

Well I wonder why the heck he'd want to write to me
But I suppose that he is everybody's friend
And I guess he likes to keep in touch with all his country's people
Even those who can't write letters back to him

Oh I never started school but learned the golden rule
And the preacher taught me how to print my name
And it's twice as bad as stealing if you hurt somebody's feeling
So I better write a letter to the president today

Ooh
Oh ohh ye-eh-eh

Oh I never started school but learned the golden rule
And the preacher taught me how to print my name
And it's twice as bad as stealing if you hurt somebody's feeling
So I better write a letter to the president today
